EFCC Confirms No Investigation Against Immigration CG Kemi Nandap

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) issued a statement on Monday, clarifying that Kemi Nandap, the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), is not under investigation. This statement was made in response to media reports alleging involvement in a visa racket by immigration officials.

EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale emphasized that there is no ongoing case against Nandap related to these allegations. However, he noted that investigations into possible fraudulent practices by some immigration officials are ongoing, and there may be future arraignments.

The EFCC urged the media to seek clarification on its activities to avoid misrepresentation of facts regarding the investigation.
