NAHOF Inducts 18 Aviation Pioneers in Ikeja Ceremony

The 2nd Induction Ceremony of the Nigeria Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHOF) took place at the Golfview Hotel in Ikeja on Friday, celebrating 18 industry icons under the theme ‘The Next Generation of Aviation Leaders: Talent, Technology, and Global Competitiveness.’ Wole Shadare, Co-Convener of NAHOF, stated that the initiative aims to preserve Nigeria’s aviation history, warning that neglecting to honor pioneers could jeopardize the future of the industry. The inductees included regulatory leaders, flight operations specialists, and posthumous figures who significantly impacted domestic civil aviation.

A partnership was announced with Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) to create a permanent visual montage at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) featuring the portraits and biographies of all inductees. Olubunmi Kuku, representing Minister Festus Keyamo, emphasized that aviation success relies on people, not just infrastructure.

The event underscored the role of independent media in ensuring regulatory compliance and operational management within the aviation sector.
