Imo APC Backs Uzodimma for Imo West Senate Seat

The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced its commitment to adhere to directives from the National Working Committee (NWC) and to support Governor Hope Uzodimma as the sole candidate for the Imo West senatorial seat. Dr.

Jone Onwuasoanya, the spokesperson for APC Imo State, stated that the party will recommend a preferred mode of primary, which will ultimately be decided by the NWC. He emphasized that there is no opposition to Uzodimma's candidacy within the party.

A total of 150 aspirants have purchased nomination forms for various positions, indicating a healthy competitive spirit among party members. However, the Imo North senatorial seat may become contentious with the entry of Ifeanyi Araraum, who is considered a strong political force.

Additionally, former governor Rochas Okorocha may seek to address perceived grievances regarding Uzodimma's candidacy. The party aims for a transparent and fair nomination process.
