Imo Police Arrest 789 Suspects and Rescue 16 Victims in Security Crackdown

The Imo State Police Command in Nigeria conducted a major security crackdown resulting in the arrest of 789 suspects and the rescue of 16 victims over the past two months. Commissioner of Police Aboki Danjuma revealed that the arrests were linked to various crimes including kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, terrorism, child trafficking, and murder.

The police operation also led to the recovery of weapons, ammunition, motorcycles, explosives, charms, and drugs. A significant breakthrough occurred during a raid in Oguta LGA where 16 suspects were arrested, including alleged terror kingpins.

The crackdown signifies the state's efforts to combat crime and enhance security for its residents.
