Bola Tinubu Launches Nigerian Forest Guards with 7,000 Recruits to Boost Security Operations

Bola Tinubu initiated the Nigerian Forest Guards program with 7,000 newly deployed recruits to address the country's security challenges. The graduates completed a rigorous three-month training program to improve security operations in states like Borno, Sokoto, and Yobe.

The program aims to leverage indigenous knowledge of forest terrains to combat banditry and kidnapping effectively. Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, praised the initiative as a crucial step in restoring state authority and protecting vulnerable communities.

The Nigerian Forest Guard is an inter-agency initiative involving collaboration with security agencies like the DSS, Nigerian Army, and others.
