Indian Police Arrest Two Nigerians in Drug Bust

On April 6, 2023, Indian police dismantled a drug trafficking network in West Delhi, arresting four suspects, including two Nigerian nationals, Mancabo David Emeka Emmanuel and Mukesh Kumar, also known as Vicki. The operation, conducted in the Tilak Nagar area, followed intelligence on drug trafficking activities.

During the raid at a premises in Ganesh Nagar, police recovered 73 grams of MDMA, 112 zip lock pouches, a weighing machine, packaging materials, and cash amounting to N700,000. Subsequent interrogations led to the arrest of Mancabo David on April 9, where police seized an additional 10 grams of MDMA.

Emmanuel, a habitual offender, was previously arrested under the NDPS Act and served a five-year jail term. The police identified Gurmeet Singh as the kingpin managing the procurement and supply of drugs, while Mukesh handled local distribution.

The syndicate reportedly operated from rented apartments and employed CCTV cameras and password-based access systems to evade law enforcement.
