Nigerian Woman Arrested with N360m MDMA in India

Emmanuella Ikhanoba, a Nigerian woman, was arrested at Surat Railway Station in Gujarat, India, on Wednesday by officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). She was found carrying 2,017 grams of the banned synthetic psychoactive drug MDMA, valued at approximately N360 million (Rs 2 crore).

Ikhanoba was intercepted while boarding a train to Delhi after the DRI received a tip-off regarding her activities. The authorities are currently conducting further investigations to determine the intended recipient of the drug consignment and whether Ikhanoba is an illegal resident in India.

In a related operation, another Nigerian identified as Ikechukwu was arrested by police during a special operation targeting a drug syndicate in Mahendragarh. Ikechukwu was described as a key supplier and was apprehended alongside ten gang members, with police recovering drugs, cash, fake currency notes, and a scooter.
