Two Nigerians Arrested in India for Drug Trafficking

On April 27, 2023, two Nigerian nationals, identified as 26-year-old Chijiok Wisdom from Lagos and 43-year-old Chiqozi from Imo State, were arrested by police in South Delhi, India, for their involvement in drug trafficking. The arrests occurred around 10:30 PM during a targeted police operation following specific intelligence received by the authorities.

The police laid an ambush and intercepted the suspects on a scooter. During the search, law enforcement recovered 102 grams of cocaine, classified as a commercial quantity, along with 13 grams of MDMA and 85 grams of methaqualone, which fall under the intermediate quantity category.

Both suspects were residing in India without valid visas, and the case has been registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, with investigations ongoing to trace their supply network and possible accomplices.
