Delta Governor Urged to Prioritize Industrialization

In a statement issued to journalists in Warri, Sheriff Mulad called on Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to prioritize large-scale industrialization as a central strategy to curb the rising unemployment rate, which poses a potential security threat. Mulad expressed concern over the alarming joblessness, especially among the youth, and commended the governor for visible achievements in infrastructure development across urban centers in Delta State.

However, he stressed that physical infrastructure alone is insufficient to tackle the growing issues of poverty and hunger. He urged the state government to refocus its policies towards stimulating industrial growth and expanding employment opportunities, leveraging Delta's strategic location and abundant natural resources.

Mulad highlighted the importance of creating an enabling environment to attract local and foreign investors and called for strong political will to support small and medium-scale enterprises, thereby enhancing job creation and achieving a robust industrial base.
