INEC Announces 10 Parties for Kano By-Elections with APC and ADP Among Participants

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that 10 political parties, such as the APC, ADP, AAC, PRP, Labour Party, APGA, Good Party, AA, LP, and NNPP, will participate in the upcoming by-elections in Kano State. The election will encompass Kano Municipal and Ungogo Local Government Area, with a total of 535,000 registered voters across 1,000 polling units.

INEC has assured the public of adequate personnel and logistics deployment to ensure a smooth electoral process. The commission emphasized its readiness to conduct free, fair, and credible polls, with no adverse reports received so far regarding the primary elections conducted by the participating parties.

INEC also addressed concerns surrounding internal disputes within the NNPP, stating that they have not received any court orders affecting the party's recognition or primary election process.
