INEC and Security Set for Kano Assembly By-Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies have declared their full readiness for the Kano Assembly by-elections scheduled for Saturday. Ibrahim Adamu, the Police Commissioner for Kano State, announced on Thursday that joint security arrangements have been established to guarantee a peaceful and credible electoral exercise.

Adequate personnel will be deployed to polling units and critical points to prevent any breakdown of law and order. The elections will take place in the Kano Municipal Ungogo Local Government Area from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Amb Abdu Zango, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Kano State, commended the collaboration with security agencies and confirmed that all required electoral materials are in place. The aim is to restore equitable representation in the assembly and strengthen grassroots democratic governance.
