Nwosu Critiques INEC's Political Motivations in Abuja

Ralph Nwosu, the former national chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of being influenced by the political maneuvers of President Bola Tinubu. During an appearance on Channel Television, Nwosu argued that INEC's recent decision to derecognize the party's leadership was politically motivated.

He further alleged that the leadership of the electoral body aligns with the ruling party's interests. Nwosu described this situation as part of a broader pattern affecting Nigeria's political landscape, asserting that the ADC remains a platform for opposition and democracy.

His comments came in the wake of a protest dubbed "occupy INEC," which was led by ADC leaders, including notable figures such as Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso, David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola, and Rotimi Amaechi, in Abuja on Wednesday.
