INEC Begins Nationwide Continuous Voter Registration Today

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the commencement of the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration today, with the online phase starting first. Eligible Nigerians can now log on to the INEC website to begin the registration process before the physical exercise begins on August 25, 2025.

The physical registration will take place at 37 state offices and 774 local government area offices across the country to ensure accessibility for prospective voters. INEC emphasized the importance of voter registration in strengthening democratic participation and warned against engaging in multiple registrations, as offenders risk sanctions.

The commission urged Nigerians to seize this opportunity to register and reassured the public of its dedication to deepening democracy and ensuring every eligible voter can participate in the upcoming elections.
