INEC Declares APC Winner Of Rescheduled Zamfara Constituency Bye-election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the rescheduled Zamfara Constituency bye-election. The declaration was made by the returning officer at the Federal University Gusau, confirming that the APC candidate received the highest number of votes, meeting the legal requirements for the declaration.

The election took place in five polling units within Kyambarawa Saikajiki ward in Kaura Namoda South. The APC candidate, Sa'id, received votes while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate garnered votes.

INEC had previously declared the August 16 election inconclusive. The APC led in four out of six wards, giving them a significant margin.

The election for the South Constituency in Zamfara State was rescheduled for August 21, with the State Resident Electoral Commissioner assuring stakeholders of a transparent process.
