INEC: I Remain Labour Party Chairman – Abure Insists, Blames Usman For Spreading ‘False News’

Labour Party Chairman, Abure, has asserted his position amidst a factional dispute, blaming Usman for spreading misinformation. The National Publicity Secretary of the faction accused Senator Nenadi's group of misinterpreting a court order and spreading false news.

The alleged misinterpretation of a Federal High Court decision from August 15, 2025, was cited as the root of the conflict. Abure maintained that the party's leadership is intact and urged INEC to prevent the faction from obstructing the party's participation in future democratic processes.

He also clarified that the Supreme Court had not declared him the National Chairman of the Labour Party, emphasizing that the issue of leadership is an internal party matter. Abure's statement aimed to dispel confusion and reaffirm the party's unity.
