AAP Accuses INEC of Deceit Over NDC Registration

The African Alliance Party (AAP) expressed deep shock at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for refusing to register it as a political association despite meeting statutory requirements. AAP's national public secretary, Abubakar Sadiq, stated that the party conducted an independent investigation into the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), which INEC claims obtained a court judgment in Kogi State to justify its registration.

However, AAP found that no certified true copy of the judgment relied upon by INEC exists, as revealed by a Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State. AAP described INEC's actions as a "judicial abracadabra" and noted that NDC was listed among political associations seeking registration on INEC's official platform prior to the date of the announcement.

The party raised serious questions about the credibility and integrity of INEC's chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, and accused him of acting in a manner that undermines Nigeria's democracy.

AAP challenged INEC to release any court order it claims to have received, insisting that no valid order exists.
