SDP Names Adewol Adebayo as Presidential Candidate for 2027

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has officially submitted the name of Adewol Adebayo as its presidential candidate for the upcoming 2027 general elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This submission was made through a letter signed by Olu Agunloye, the party's national secretary, following the party's national convention held in Bauchi on May 9, 2026.

During this convention, Adebayo emerged as the sole aspirant for the presidential ticket, receiving significant support from party members. The letter to INEC included a request for the necessary nomination documents, which consist of forms EC9, EC9A, EC9B, EC9C, and EC9D, to complete the candidacy nomination process.

Adebayo's nomination is part of the SDP's strategy to participate actively in the 2027 presidential elections.
