INEC Recognizes Wike's PDP Faction After Convention

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially recognized the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Nyesom Wike. This recognition was confirmed following the faction's national convention held on Sunday in Abuja, where they elected new members of the National Working Committee (NWC).

The convention resulted in the re-election of a consensus national caretaker committee, which was subsequently dissolved. The updated leadership structure published on INEC's official website includes Abdulrahman Moham as the national chairman, Samuel Anyanwu as the national secretary, and various deputies and other committee members.

Key positions filled include Aaron Chukwuemeka as deputy national chairman (South), Yusufu Akirikwen as deputy national chairman (North), and several others in roles such as national treasurer, national financial secretary, and national youth leader, among others.
