INEC Urges Support for PVC Collection in Ekiti State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is seeking the support of stakeholders in Ekiti State to enhance awareness regarding the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) as part of preparations for the upcoming governorship election scheduled for June 20, 2026. Dr.

Bunmi Omoseyindemi, the Resident Electoral Commissioner for Ekiti State, made this appeal in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday. He urged registered voters, including those newly registered, to visit their registration area or ward to obtain their PVCs.

The PVC collection exercise is set to commence on June 2 and conclude on June 11, 2026. Omoseyindemi emphasized the importance of the PVC as a vital tool for democratic participation, urging community leaders, youth groups, and civil society organizations to assist in creating awareness and encouraging eligible voters to participate in the electoral process.

He reiterated that every vote counts and that collecting the PVC is a crucial step for citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote.
