INEC To Issue Certificates Of Return To Bye-Election Winners

INEC will issue Certificates of Return to winners of bye-elections in various constituencies on August 22, 2025. The announcement was made by the INEC National Commissioner Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee in Abuja.

The affected constituencies include Ganye in Adamawa, Onitsha North 1 in Anambra, Basawa in Kaduna, Kano Okura in Kogi, Munya in Niger, and Karim Lamido 1 in Taraba. Two senatorial districts, five federal constituencies, and eight state constituencies have had their results successfully declared.

However, the election in Kaura Namoda South State Constituency in Zamfara was declared inconclusive due to violence that disrupted voting in five polling units. INEC also confirmed that two elections in Enugu and Kano states have been concluded, with winners declared in Enugu South 1 State Constituency and Kano State.
