INEC Recognizes Hakeem Baba-Ahmed as PRP National Chairman

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has updated its portal to officially recognize Hakeem Baba-Ahmed as the National Chairman of the People Redemption Party (PRP). This update follows a recent development in Abuja addressing concerns regarding the party's leadership structure as it prepares for the 2027 elections.

The INEC portal now lists Baba-Ahmed alongside other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), including Kanu Sundai Uchenna as National Secretary, Bayawo Yunusa Abdullahi as National Treasurer, Chuka Patrick as National Financial Secretary, and Vincent Danladi Okudu as National Legal Adviser. The party's National Public Secretary, Muham Bello Ishaq, welcomed this recognition and dismissed claims regarding the election of Baba-Ahmed and other national officers, which include Mallam Buhari Haruna as Deputy National Chairman (North) and Haruna Nanven as National Organizing Secretary.

The inauguration of zonal representatives across different regions of the country is also noted.
