INEC Urges Political Parties to Report CVR Irregularities

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has called on political parties to report any irregularities concerning the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in Osun State. Mutiu Agbok, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for Osun, made this appeal while monitoring the registration process.

He interacted with political party agents and assessed the conduct of the exercise at various registration points, including Ilar Methodist Primary School in Obokun Local Government Area and Saint Andrew Primary School in Ada. Agbok explained that the aim of the field visit was to ensure the registration process proceeds in an orderly manner and to obtain direct feedback from party representatives.

He noted that the registration process would continue until the next election period, with a temporary halt to allow for the printing of permanent voter cards. The registration exercise is expected to run until around August, after which the distribution of voter cards will commence.
