INEC to Begin Second Phase of Voter Registration in Ondo State

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State, led by the Resident Electoral Commissioner Oluwatoyin Babalola, is gearing up to kick off the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. The first phase of the CVR took place from August 25 to December 10, 2025, recording a total of 35,040 registrations.

The second phase aims to tackle challenges such as long distances to registration centers and difficult terrains to ensure that eligible voters are properly registered. The rotation of INEC's Voter Enrollment Device (IVED) will cover 203 Registration Areas (RAs) within 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Ondo State.

The rotation will span 50 days, starting from February 2 to April 10, 2026, excluding weekends and public holidays. INEC has urged eligible residents, especially those in remote and underserved areas, to take advantage of the opportunity to register during the scheduled rotation period.
