INEC Validates NNPP Leadership Amidst Expulsion Attempts

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has validated the leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) led by Hon. Bala Yunusa Mohammad, as stated by the party's spokesman, Ladipo Johnson. In a statement released on Monday, Johnson announced the successful conclusion of INEC's verification process, which meticulously vetted the administrative structure and membership records of the party.

He reaffirmed the legitimacy of the current National Working Committee (NWC) and criticized attempts to expel members as desperate and futile. Johnson noted that the party's headquarters has failed to recognize these attempts, which rely on purported court orders that mislead the judiciary.

He highlighted that a judgment from the Federal High Court in Abuja clearly affirms that individuals attempting to claim expulsion are no longer members of the NNPP. The statement concluded with a call for Nigerian youth and women to continue registering with the NNPP across the 8,809 wards in 774 local government areas to build a grassroots democracy.
