Kogi State Government Orders Closure of Markets and Motor Parks in Security Move

The Kogi State Government has directed the temporary closure of specific markets and motor parks in seven local government areas as part of efforts to support security activities and combat terrorist, bandit, and criminal elements. The closures aim to restrict movement, deny criminals access to logistics, and prevent them from disrupting the supply of food and other essentials.

The affected areas include Lokoja, Bunulocal, Yagba West, Yagba East, Kogi, Mopamuro, and Ijumu local government areas. The government clarified that these measures are strictly temporary and will be lifted once security operations are successfully concluded.
