Bandits Kill Three, Abduct Catholic Priest in Kaduna Attack

In Kaduna, bandits carried out a deadly attack, killing three individuals and abducting a Catholic priest, identified as Nathaniel Asuway, along with several others in Kauru LGA. The incident occurred at the cleric's residence in Karku.

The Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan confirmed the abduction of the priest. Security personnel, including soldiers and police officers, engaged in a gun battle with the bandits during the attack.

Unfortunately, two soldiers and a police officer lost their lives in the exchange of gunfire. Security forces managed to rescue 166 worshippers who were abducted during the attack on two churches.

The incident highlights the escalating insecurity in northern Nigeria, with concerns growing over the government's ability to protect civilians from such attacks.
