Terrorists Abduct Catholic Catechist and Dozens in Fresh Kaduna Attack

In a recent attack in Kaduna State, armed terrorists abducted 32 individuals, including a Catholic catechist, his family, and parishioners. The victims were taken from Kutaho and Kugir communities in Kagarko Local Government Area.

The parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kutaho, Linus Matthew Bobai, confirmed the incident and mentioned that the terrorists demanded a ransom of 10 million naira for the release of the abducted individuals.

The attackers targeted people involved in irrigation farming and ginger cultivation, believing them to be wealthy. This abduction adds to the rising wave of kidnappings in the state, with previous incidents reported in Chikun and Kajuru LGAs.

The victims were taken to an unknown location, and the community is in distress over the escalating insecurity. Security forces are urged to intervene and ensure the safe return of the abducted individuals.
