Kebbi State Orders Reopening of Schools After Security Incident

Kebbi State has ordered the reopening of schools after the abduction and killing of schoolgirls at Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga. The directive, effective from January 5, 2026, aims to ensure the smooth resumption of academic activities.

The State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education emphasized strict compliance with safety measures and exam schedules. Parents and guardians are urged to ensure the prompt return of their children to school.

The first term exams will be conducted in the first week of resumption.
