Abbo Proposes 20,000-Man Security Outfit for Adamawa

Ishaku Abbo, the Labour Party governorship candidate for Adamawa State, unveiled a security blueprint worth N150 billion aimed at strengthening security across the state ahead of the 2027 governorship election. Abbo's plan includes the establishment of a 20,000-man civilian security outfit modeled after the Joint Task Force (JTF) to enhance community safety and economic growth.

He emphasized that security is foundational for societal prosperity, stating that without security, farmers cannot farm, businesses cannot grow, and families cannot live peacefully. The proposed security framework includes ward-based security commands, an anti-kidnap unit, a border security command, and a rapid response team.

Additionally, Abbo plans to deploy 1,000 patrol vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and motorcycles for rural operations, along with a statewide CCTV network and a command control center in Yola. He aims to ensure that every family in Adamawa can live, work, and invest without fear, making the state the safest in Nigeria.
