Ishaku Abbo Declares for Adamawa Governorship Race

Ishaku Abbo, the former senator representing Adamawa North, announced his candidacy for the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State under the Labour Party (LP) on Thursday. During the announcement in Yola, the state capital, Abbo unveiled a semi-official campaign poster and expressed confidence in winning the election by a landslide.

He recalled his previous experience in the 2019 senatorial election, where he faced significant political opposition from established figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC), including Senator Binta Masi Garba and Governor Bindow Jibrilla. Despite the challenges, Abbo described himself as a "true soldier" who fought hard against entrenched political interests.

He stated his commitment to transforming Adamawa into a top investment destination, promising to create hundreds of thousands of jobs for the youth. Abbo plans to publish aspects of his manifesto on social media in the coming days.
