Analyst Calls for Sack of NSA Ribadu Over Insecurity

Ibrahim Modibo, a political affairs analyst, publicly called for the dismissal of Nigeria's National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, during a live interview on Arise Television. Modibo criticized Ribadu for failing to address the deteriorating security situation in the country, particularly following a recent terrorist attack on a military forward operating base that resulted in the deaths of at least three senior officers.

He argued that Ribadu's failure to implement effective security architecture necessitates his removal, likening the situation to someone who fails an exam but continues to graduate. Modibo emphasized the need for Nigeria to utilize advanced technology, such as drone surveillance, to monitor and control security situations, particularly in areas like Zamfara State, where he noted that officials should be able to track criminal activities effectively.

He expressed frustration over the lack of technological input in security measures, which he believes hampers efforts to combat terrorism and ransom kidnappings.
