NSA Ribadu Accused of Blocking US Troops to Plateau State

Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, a cleric and chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in the Barkin Ladi region, accused Nigeria's National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, of preventing the deployment of U.S. troops to Plateau State. This allegation was made in a video message released on Friday, where Dachomo expressed concern over persistent violent attacks affecting predominantly Christian communities in the area.

He recalled previous appeals to former U.S. President Donald Trump for intervention in the security crisis.

Despite the presence of security forces, Dachomo noted that attacks on Christian communities continue, leading him to warn that these communities may eventually have to defend themselves. He criticized the Nigerian security leadership for allegedly redirecting U.S. military assistance to predominantly Muslim areas, such as Sokoto State, rather than addressing the violence against Christians in Plateau State.

Dachomo's statements reflect ongoing tensions and the urgent need for effective security measures in the region.
