Plateau State Government Declares War on Terrorism, Drugs

The Plateau State Government, led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, has declared a renewed war against terrorism and drug trafficking in response to escalating insecurity across the state. This declaration followed an emergency meeting of the Plateau State Security Council, which included top security officials and local government chairmen.

During the meeting, it was noted that communities in Plateau State have experienced sustained attacks over the past four months, indicating a coordinated campaign by criminal elements. The government resolved to intensify security operations and reclaim ungoverned territories.

Additional logistical support for security agencies was approved, including the provision of motorcycles to enhance rapid response capabilities. The council also emphasized the importance of intelligence gathering and community involvement in maintaining peace.
