Presidency Warns Nigerians Against Night Travel for Safety

The Presidency issued a security advisory urging Nigerians to avoid night travel, particularly on long-distance routes, due to growing security concerns in the North Central region. This advisory was communicated by Dr.

Abiodun Essiet, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, on Tuesday. He emphasized the need for travelers to exercise heightened caution and prioritize daytime travel to minimize exposure to security risks.

The advisory noted recent security incidents reported along major highways in the region, necessitating the warning. The statement highlighted that safety remains a top priority for the government and called on the public to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities.
