Igbo Community Criticizes Tinubu's Government on Insecurity

The Igbo Community Association (ICA) in Abuja issued a statement expressing profound alarm over the deteriorating security situation in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu's administration. The statement, signed by ICA President Ikenna Elli Ezenekw and Secretary General Chinwok Emmanuel Onah, criticized the government's failure to protect citizens, citing daily killings and kidnappings.

The community emphasized that the current measures are insufficient to stem the tide of insecurity and economic collapse. They urged the government to take more decisive actions to safeguard lives and livelihoods, expressing concern over the misplaced priorities of Nigeria's political class.

The ICA condemned the lack of protests against the ongoing violence, contrasting it with the political outcry over the removal of the INEC chairman, which they viewed as hypocritical. The statement reflects the community's frustration with the government's inability to address the escalating violence and the suffering of ordinary Nigerians.
