Wike Criticizes NBA Leadership for Political Focus

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), publicly criticized the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for engaging in political maneuvering instead of addressing pressing issues within the legal profession. During a media chat held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Wednesday, Wike labeled the recent NBA conference in Rivers State as a “flop.” He challenged the NBA president regarding their legacy and questioned what they would claim to have accomplished.

Furthermore, Wike defended the performance of the Federal Government in the FCT, asserting that all projects initiated under President Bola Tinubu would be completed before the end of the administration's tenure. He invited comparisons of the Tinubu administration’s achievements in Abuja with those of previous governments, claiming that no administration has matched their accomplishments in the FCT.
