Ndume Warns of Terrorist Threats in Borno State

On a recent visit to Borno State, Senator Ali Ndume expressed grave concerns regarding the ongoing Boko Haram insurgency, warning that Nigeria risks losing Borno and the Northeast to terrorists. Ndume, a former Senate leader, called on the federal government to ensure that the Nigerian Army is fully equipped to win the battle against insurgency and banditry.

He visited the affected areas of Ngosh and Pulka, where he commended Governor Babagana Zulum for his initiatives to assist displaced persons and rebuild ravaged communities. Ndume highlighted the overwhelming military challenges faced by the Nigerian Army, which is reportedly outgunned by terrorist groups.

He urged the federal government to double its efforts in equipping the military with sophisticated arms and ammunition. Ndume also noted the psychological impact of the violence on the local population and emphasized the urgent need for federal intervention to support the rebuilding of communities and provide immediate succor to displaced individuals.
