ICPC Rates NNPC Zero on Corruption Despite Profits

The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) gave the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) a zero score on its 2025 ethics compliance scorecard, highlighting concerns about corruption within the oil and gas sector. Despite NNPC's improved financial performance, it failed to meet ICPC's standards, unlike the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) which scored well.

The report also revealed disparities in compliance levels among various agencies within the sector, painting a troubling picture of corruption risks.
