PDP's Progress Hindered by Supreme Court Judgment Need

In a recent interview, lawyer Maduabuchi asserted that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) cannot make progress without a Supreme Court judgment concerning the expulsion of members linked to the Wike faction. He highlighted the contradictions in the rulings by Justice Jame Omotoso of the Federal High Court, which affirmed the legitimacy of the expulsion led by Abdulrahman Moham.

Maduabuchi noted that despite the election of members to the national working committee during the recent national convention, the party's leadership remains in disarray. He pointed out that the removal of Iyorchia Ayu as national chairman and the subsequent appointment of Umar Damagum as acting chairman have created further complications.

Maduabuchi emphasized that without a definitive Supreme Court ruling, the PDP's future remains uncertain, particularly as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) prepares for upcoming meetings and conventions.
