Nigeria's Internet Subscribers Reach 154.3 Million in April 2026

As of April 2026, the total number of internet subscribers in Nigeria reached 154,724,088, with mobile GSM technology accounting for 154,347,260 subscribers and fixed wired technology contributing 156,662 subscribers. The increase in fixed wired subscriptions from 137,074 in March 2026 is attributed to recent campaigns promoting fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services by mobile network operators (MNOs).

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) reported that mobile technology has maintained a steady lead in internet connectivity for seven consecutive months since October 2025. The statistics indicate that the number of mobile GSM internet subscribers has grown from 142,004,662 in November 2025 to 154,347,260 in April 2026.

MTN remains the leading provider among MNOs offering internet access through mobile GSM technology.
