Interswitch CEO Mitchel Elegb Joins EY Global Jury 2026

Mitchel Elegb, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Interswitch Group, has been reappointed to the nine-member global jury for the 2026 Ernst & Young (EY) World Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award ceremony will take place annually in June in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

This will be Elegb's third consecutive year serving on the jury, following his initial appointment in 2024. The EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award has been recognizing outstanding entrepreneurial achievements since 1986, celebrating innovation and leadership among business founders globally.

The program has acknowledged over 10,000 entrepreneurs for their vision, innovation, courage, and leadership in building successful businesses that positively influence communities and economies. In June 2023, Elegb was inducted into the World Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame, remaining the only Black African global finalist in the award's 40-year history.

He has received several accolades for his contributions to the financial technology sector across Africa.
