Atiku's Aide Urges DSS to Question Igboho on Kidnappings

Paul I.B., media adviser to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, called on the Department of State Services (DSS) to invite Sunday Igboho for questioning. This request was made after Igboho disclosed that he knew the identities of politicians allegedly sponsoring kidnappings in Oyo State.

The call came on Thursday, following the abduction of students and a teacher in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. I.B. argued that the DSS could leverage credible information to aid in the rescue of the victims and dismantle the criminal network behind the attacks.

He emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into Igboho's claims, especially in light of the rising insecurity and kidnapping incidents across Nigeria. I.B. criticized the federal government's muted response to the abduction of 50 schoolchildren in Borno State on May 15, 2026, and questioned the government's inaction regarding the ongoing insecurity challenges facing the country.
