IPAC Launches Voter Registration Campaign in Cross River

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) announced a campaign to enhance grassroots mobilization for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in Cross River State, led by state chairman Engr Effiom Edet Okon. During a press briefing in Calabar, Okon emphasized the importance of ensuring that no eligible voter is left unregistered, describing the remaining days of the CVR as crucial.

He urged residents to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain their Permanent Voter Card (PVC), stressing that without a voter card, there is no voice in democracy. Okon expressed optimism that Cross River could record over 2.5 million votes in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

He called on parents to encourage their children to register and urged traditional rulers, religious leaders, and political parties to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts. Okon commended INEC officials for their commitment to the CVR exercise and highlighted the need for broad participation to strengthen democracy in the state.
