Iranian Drones Strike U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, No Casualties

In the early hours of Tuesday, Iranian drones struck the U.S. embassy compound in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, resulting in minor material damage and a small fire. The embassy was reportedly empty at the time of the attack, and no casualties were recorded.

Loud blasts were heard, and a plume of black smoke was visible from the site, located in Riyadh's diplomatic district, which houses several foreign missions. The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense confirmed that air defense systems intercepted four drones targeting the diplomatic quarter during the assault.

Following the incident, the U.S. embassy in Kuwait announced it would remain closed until further notice, and the U.S. State Department ordered the evacuation of non-emergency personnel and their families from Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, and Jordan as a precaution.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the response to the embassy attack, which occurred amid escalating hostilities in the Gulf region, would be clear and forthcoming.
