Iran Warns Gulf Nations Against Supporting US Military

On Wednesday, Iran’s armed forces, led by chief of staff Ali Abdollahi, issued a warning to Gulf countries regarding any assistance to the US military, asserting that such actions would be equivalent to joining US military operations. Abdollahi emphasized that any facilitation provided to the US military is considered participation in their operations.

The warning follows the outbreak of war between Iran and the United States on February 28, triggered by US-Israeli attacks on Iran, which resulted in Iran retaliating with missile and drone strikes on US bases in the region. Abdollahi also remarked on the presence of military aircraft, particularly refueling aircraft, at regional bases, suggesting that host countries must be aware of their presence.

The warning coincides with the redeployment of the USS George Washington aircraft carrier to the Middle East, which is set to relieve the USS Abraham Lincoln amid reports of deteriorating living conditions for its crew.
