Iran Warns of War Expansion Amid US Attacks

On Sunday, Iran's army issued a warning that the ongoing Middle East war would widen if the United States persisted with attacks on the Islamic Republic. Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia stated that if the US "falls for the Zionists’ deception" and continues air strikes, the conflict would geographically expand.

He noted that the war has already reached the Bab al-Mandab Strait, referencing recent tensions involving Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels and Saudi Arabia. Akraminia emphasized that Iranian military operations now encompass a broad area, including US bases in Jordan and countries along the Persian Gulf.

He characterized the situation for the US in the Middle East as "difficult and unsettled," suggesting that Washington is seeking a new strategy. This warning comes ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's scheduled meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday.
