Gumi Calls Khamenei a "Lucky Soul" After His Death

Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, an Islamic cleric, reacted to the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stating that Khamenei was a "lucky soul" who died in jihad. Gumi shared his thoughts on his Facebook page, highlighting Khamenei's steadfastness in fighting against the killing of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.

He noted that Khamenei's blood would "fuel change" in the ummah and praised the late leader for not hiding in a bunker during conflicts. Khamenei, who served as Iran's Supreme Leader since 1989, reportedly died following an Israeli strike, as confirmed by Iranian state television, which announced a 40-day mourning period and seven public holidays in honor of Khamenei's martyrdom.

The announcement came shortly after the strike, although there was no independent confirmation of the circumstances surrounding his death.
