Irepodun/Ifelodun Wins Ekiti Football Tournament

Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government emerged victorious in the Ekiti football tournament, winning against Ado LG with a score of 5-4 in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 3-3 draw during regular time. The tournament also featured a female final where Ado LG secured victory against Oyo Local Government.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji represented the state at the event, alongside Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Stephen Aribasoye. They commended the tournament's sponsors and highlighted the financial support from the Ekiti State Government.

Akin Oyebod, representing the commission, expressed gratitude towards the governor and reaffirmed the initiative's purpose to develop and sustain grassroots talent in sports. Governor Oyebanji emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in Ekiti, stating that the government is committed to building confidence in the youth through sports development as part of the state's six-point agenda.
