ADC Suspends Three Ward Executives Over Kingibe Controversy

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended three ward executives from Wuse Ward in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, citing their alleged involvement in anti-party activities concerning Senator Ireti Kingibe. The suspended officials include Wuse Ward Chairman Kanayo Chukwu, Amanda Pam, and Omal Suleiman.

Emmanuel Destini, a member of the ADC's National Working Committee, stated that the suspension violated the party's constitution and lacked legitimacy, as no formal complaint was submitted against Senator Kingibe. The ADC's national leadership, represented by Bolaji Abdullahi, urged the public to disregard the suspension report, labeling it false and misleading.

The controversy began when the Wuse Ward officials accused Senator Kingibe of withholding campaign funds during recent area council elections. The ADC's deputy national auditor, Princess Nneka Nneboh, emphasized the need for proper procedures and accountability within the party.

A vote of no confidence was passed against the three suspended individuals by ward area council chairmen.
