Oyebanji Honors Predecessors with Legacy Projects in Ekiti

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State is initiating a shift in the state's political culture by honoring predecessors through legacy projects. Recently, he commissioned the ultra-modern Kayode Fayemi Lodge, named after former Governor Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and unveiled the Ayodele Fayose Lodge, honoring Chief Ayodele Fayose, another former governor and opposition figure.

Oyebanji stated that these projects aim to replace political bitterness with gratitude and continuity, emphasizing that recognizing contributions while beneficiaries are alive is essential. The lodges are part of a broader legacy project intended to immortalize former governors and distinguished Ekiti citizens.

Oyebanji articulated that these facilities are not merely accommodations but integral to an economic strategy to attract investment, addressing concerns about infrastructure and quality accommodation for potential investors. His administration has already invested in roads, electricity, water supply, and the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, positioning Ekiti as a favorable destination for business.
